Pastor Anthony Q. Jackson
Senior Pastor | Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church
Pastor Anthony Q. Jackson is a proud native Texan, born in the city of Sugar Land, Texas, home of the historic Imperial Sugar Refinery—once known for producing the finest sugar cane in the Lone Star State. Born the fifth of seven siblings—three girls and four boys—he was raised in a Christian, faith-based household where he was taught a foundational truth that continues to guide his life and ministry: God must always come first in everything.
Early Life & Education
Pastor Jackson was raised in Richmond, Texas, located in Fort Bend County, one of the fastest-growing county seats in the United States. He attended Jane Long Elementary School before his family relocated to the northwest side of town, where he continued his education at Deaf Smith Elementary and Crockett Middle School.
During this period of transition, he advanced to Lamar Junior High School, where he was exposed to higher learning and the importance of teamwork and discipline. He later attended Lamar Consolidated High School, proudly known as the home of the Fighting Mustangs. His years at Lamar High School served as a critical steppingstone—shaping his character and preparing him for a future filled with dreams, promises, challenges, and the inner resolve required to succeed.
Military Service
Pastor Jackson is a United States Navy Veteran, having honorably served from 1983 to 1994. His service included three Gulf War tours, with assignments at Naval Station San Diego, aboard two naval vessels, and specialized training in Military Police and Correctional Services.
Throughout his military career, he attended various educational programs; although he was unable to complete all formal studies during that time, the discipline, leadership, and life experience gained through military service played a vital role in shaping his future ministry.
Call to Ministry & Ordination
In 1987, while serving in the Navy, Pastor Jackson accepted his call into the ministry of teaching and preaching the Word of God under the leadership of Dr. Floyd Brown, Pastor of Good News Baptist Church in San Diego, California.
He was ordained in 1990 under the Southern District Moderator, Dr. R. C. Williams, Sr., through Mount Carmel Baptist Church of San Diego. Pastor Jackson faithfully served as Assistant Pastor to Dr. Brown from 1990 to 1994, completing his End of Active Obligated Service in the United States Navy before returning home to Texas.

Pastor Jackson remains committed to giving all honor and glory to God, while building a lasting legacy for Mount Zion Church. His vision is for the church to be a “Drawing Center” for generations to come—pouring into the lives of people and advancing the Kingdom of God.

Lady Susan Jackson was raised in the rural town of Beasley, Texas, where the Lord cultivated in her a deep love for nature and the outdoors. She has been married to her devoted husband, Anthony Quinn Jackson, for over 30 years. For the past 25 years, Lady Susan has faithfully labored alongside her husband as he serves as Pastor of Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Booth, Texas.
Through a season of prayerful obedience, Lady Susan answered God’s call, which led to the birth of the Women Who Worship Ministry (WWW Ministry) in 2019. This ministry was established as a sacred space where women gather to receive the foundation of God’s truth through sound biblical teaching. Through unity, study, and fellowship, women are encouraged to grow deeper in their relationship with God by applying the principles of His Word to their daily lives.
God uses Lady Susan’s passion for women to equip, empower, teach, and strengthen the Body of Christ. The vision of the Women Who Worship Ministry is to unite women of all ages, backgrounds, and ethnicities to seek God’s Word, serve God’s Kingdom, and share God’s Truth, so they may discover and fulfill their God-given purpose. Lady Susan firmly believes that as we follow God’s principles, He releases His blessings and directs us according to His divine purpose.
Lady Susan has a genuine heart and love for all women, and her desire is for the Women Who Worship Ministry to leave a lasting legacy that will impact generations to come. Her motto reflects the heart of her mission:
“Women should stay connected and pour into the lives of others for the building of God’s Kingdom.”
